As Black women a lot of us do not exist in spaces that encourage us to care for ourselves, or resource us with the time, space, and tools to prioritize ourself. Let's change that sis.
W ith this course you will unlearn the socializations that ask us to put ourselves on the back burner, learn how to name and clarify your own needs, unlearn the self judgement and guilt that makes you put others needs ahead of your own, and leave with your very own personalized self care toolkit

Hi love, I'm Salem.
Super glad to virtually meet you on here.
So a little bit about my journey - I came to the study of self care and mindfulness in my third year of Law school when I hit burnout so hard but didn't really have a name for it.
All I knew is that I was so exhausted and emotionally "done." My will to create, produce, and function was reduced to barely going through the motions. I saw this in my mother, and heard her talk about it from her mother....I realized that generationally black women tend to have chronic exhaustion as part of our regular experience and we just train ourselves and the people we love to push through it.
I decided to approach this burnout with curiorsity and learn all the things I could about my self from it. I got certified to teach yoga, studied stress and exhaustion, and changed my lifestyle to include self care as a foundational way of life.
Now 5 years later, I'm putting everything I've learnt over the course of intensive self study, cultural anthropology, and thousands of dollars in therapy and coaching into this 5 week course because I love us and want to see us WIN. Period.
My goal with this course is to interrupt the cycle of intergenerational chronic exhaustion among us black women.
So lets go sis!!
I'm excited to be your guide and cheerleader as you deepen your self care journey,.
